THE STARO MOMČILOVO HOARD, 3rd  century

The Staro Momčilovo hoard was discovered in 1953 at the locality Postojanče njiva, on the border between villages Staro Momčilovo and Dubova, municipality of Žitorađa.  Originally it was composed of an unknown number of antoniniani. The hoard was found in a clay pot. The bigger part was rescued by the National Museum in Belgrade and smaller part by the Museum in Niš. The hoard consists of antonniani of Gallienus, Salonina, Claudius II, Quintillus and Aurelian.
